Profile & Presentation

The testimony of Mr. Charles BOOTO à NGON will focus on the ANOR’s experience in the development of standards on project programme and portfolio management.

Mr. Charles BOOTO à NGON is the Director General of the Standards and Quality Agency (ANOR). He is currently the Vice-Chairman Africa of the Réseau Normalisation et Francophonie (RNF) since 2014. He holds a Degree in agro-industrial development project analysis and evaluation, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Economics and a Post-Graduate attestation. He was recruited into the civil service as a Statistics Engineer.

He has occupied the positions of the Head of Standardisation and Quality Division at the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development (2005 to 2010), Coordinator of the Technical Secretariat of the Codex Alimentarius, National Committee (2005 to 2012), Coordinator of Codex Alimentarius activities for Africa (2012 to 2016), Vice-Chairman of the African Organisation for Standardisation (2012 to 2016).

In addition, Mr. Charles BOOTO à NGON is a militant of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM). He is the Chairman of the Council Commission in the Bafia sub-division, and a member of the Divisional Commission of the CPDM Central Committee for the Mbam and Inoubou division.

He is Officer of the National Order of Valour.
